STEP 1: Consultation & Skin Assessment
Our trained practitioners begin with a consultation to assess your skin condition, tone, and sensitivity. We review your medical history, current medications, and any contraindications to ensure the treatment is safe and effective. To prepare, arrive with clean, makeup-free skin.
STEP 2: Patch Test
Before your first session, a mandatory patch test will be performed. This allows us to evaluate your skin’s reaction to the light energy and adjust treatment parameters for your specific Fitzpatrick skin type. A test area is typically applied behind the ear or on the jawline using a low fluence level.
STEP 3: Preparation & Cleansing
On the day of treatment, the skin is thoroughly cleansed to remove any residual oils or skincare. Protective eye shields are applied, and a cooling ultrasound gel is spread evenly across the treatment area to enhance light transmission and patient comfort.
STEP 4: IPL Treatment
Your practitioner will deliver a series of precisely controlled light pulses across the face using the Stellar M22™ IPL handpiece. Clients typically experience a mild warm or snapping sensation, similar to a light elastic flick.
Step 5: Post-Treatment Care
After the session, the gel is gently removed and a soothing recovery serum (optional add-on) are applied to calm the skin. An SPF 50+ sunscreen is applied as the final step to protect the treated area. Mild redness or warmth may occur and usually subsides within a few hours.
Step 6: Aftercare & Maintenance
Pause exfoliants, acids & retinoids for 3–5 days. Use hydrating serums and SPF 50 daily. Pigmented spots may darken and shed within 7–10 days. For best results, complete 4–6 sessions every 3–4 weeks.
